Training Workshops
D&R School Welfare Support provide a range of training services to schools and community agencies.
Targeted workshops can be developed in collaboration with schools or school networks in response to the identified needs of the staff team. Workshops can be of two hour, half day or full day duration and can be delivered on site or at an alternative location.
Specific Training Workshops include:
- Introduction to Student Wellbeing skills and processes
- Establishing and maintaining well-being structures in schools
- Evaluating current needs and services in your school
- Understanding the impact of life outside the school gate on learning
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Counselling, engagement and assessment skills
- Identifying and working with students at risk
- Developing programs to support students at risk
- Engaging families in the school community
- Supporting minority groups in schools
- Building community links and partnerships
- Strengthening indigenous education
- Promoting mental health in schools
